Immigration in Philadelphia: A Call to Action
The Greater Philadelphia area, despite being the fifth largest metro area in the country, has consistently lagged behind areas of similar or even smaller size in immigrant attraction for nearly 80 years. For a region that has struggled with limited to zero population and economic growth, immigration should be a topic of concern.
This analysis aims to raise awareness about the population and economic benefits of immigration in general as well as potential strategies for helping Greater Philadelphia to be more successful at attracting immigrants.
