Economy League Adds New Board Directors for 2023

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PHILADELPHIA, PA (December 7, 2022) – The Economy League of Greater Philadelphia (ELGP) continues to grow its board and has made diversity a priority. 

At the Q4 Board of Directors meeting, held at the Franklin Institute on December 6, 2022, The Economy League welcomed three new Directors to the Board.   

 

Carol Horne Penn is the Senior Manager of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Gilbane Building Company, a leading commercial builder. She is a member of the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) Legislative Affairs Committee, a Vice President of the Board of the Fairmount Park Conservancy, General Contractors Association of Pennsylvania (GCAP) Board Member, an Advisory Committee Member for the Community Design Collaborative, and active in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Philadelphia chapter.  

 

Jovan Goldstein is a representative for the African American Chamber of Commerce for PA, DE & NJ. He also is  founder and Managing Principal of JT Goldstein, LLC, a Certified Public Accounting Firm based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He oversees the firm's Audit & Assurance and Tax Departments. Mr. Goldstein also participates in the AICPA's CPA Ambassador Program and teaches at Temple University.  

 

Roger J. Braunfeld is a founding partner at Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld LLC. Roger is also actively involved in strategic opportunities for the firm, including creating the One Tower Funds, a $140+ million alternative investment platform. Roger is a founding member of the PA 30 Day Fund and a trustee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. 

 

With the addition of these Directors, the Economy League Board is 33.8% Black and 26.5% Female.
