Making an Impact: PHL

Aimed at strengthening Philadelphia’s position for global business attraction, the new PHL marketing initiative promotes consistent messaging about Philadelphia as a modern Renaissance city. Developed by the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (newly abbreviated as PHLCVB), PHL provides open-source content that lays out six narratives that define Philadelphia as a destination centered on freedom and democracy, innovation and education, creativity, outdoor life and sport, vibrant street life, and accessibility. The campaign and themes are the result of extensive focus groups and interviews to shape effective global messaging about Philadelphia.
