With Hopes of Making Philly Better, Nutter Looks to Atlanta

It's off to Atlanta later this week for Mayor Nutter and about 100 other city leaders. They want to look at what that city is doing right, and bring those ideas back to Philadelphia. 

Michael Nutter as mayor-elect last year traveled to New York, Chicago and Baltimore for some fact-finding and this week it'll be a nuts-and-bolts tour of Atlanta:

"People know Atlanta to be, not just temperature wise, a pretty hot city, very progressive. They're doing some great things in their business community, housing and economic development. So it's a way to learn what some of the other cities are doing."

The three-day trip is organized by the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia.

Top Philadelphians in the public and private sectors are joining Nutter, and among those they'll hear from are the Governor of Georgia and Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, a Philadelphia native.
