FRONTPAGE SPOTLIGHT: BTC ENVELOPES & PRINTING

BTC Envelopes & Printing is a certified minority-owned printing solutions company with over 20 years of experience serving the greater Philadelphia area. BTC’s institutional customers include SEPTA, University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University, Children’s Hospital, and the Free Library of Philadelphia. BTC President and CEO, Andrew Magnus, founded the company after decades of hard work and experience in the industry. He is a 2014 graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10ksb program, a 2019 graduate of the ICIC program, and has also completed the 7 Pillars OMICELO Cares program. In 2018, his company acquired minority-owned Philadelphia firm, Imprints Unlimited.

After years of putting wear and tear on his personal vehicles, Magnus knew that BTC needed a large and dependable delivery van if they were going to be able to complete larger projects for their clients. Disaster occurred when Magnus’ vehicle malfunctioned on the highway, while on his way to deliver a project for SEPTA. It was then that Allen Riddick, Director of Supplier Inclusion for Drexel University, introduced Magnus to the PAGE Hurdle Fund. BTC applied to the PAGE Hurdle Fund, seeking $25,000 to purchase a cargo van that could be used to deliver products to their customers safely and efficiently. The vehicle was acquired just in time to complete a large printing and distribution project for SEPTA during the first week of August 2022. In an interview last month, Magnus reported that he was thrilled not only with the outcome, but with the entire process of applying to the Hurdle Fund.

It just so happened that Magnus delivered a large supply of business cards for the entire Economy League staff just a few days after purchasing his company’s new vehicle. ELGP’s Office Manager, Jess Harris, was there to receive the delivery in person. Harris shared that Magnus and his team had taken care to exactly replicate the staff’s old business cards and were incredibly gracious throughout the process. Thanks so much to Magnus and the team at BTC Envelopes & Printing!
