February 2022: FrontPage Note

hope your New Year is off to a great start! It's hard to believe that we are already midway through the Month and Q1, 2022. It has been an exciting time for PAGE. We brought on a new hire for our PAGE team at the beginning of the month. Please help me welcome Melina Harris, a recent grad of the University of Vermont's Sustainable Innovation MBA program to the team. Funded by a $250,000 grant from the Bank of America Foundation, Melina will be working with Kenyatta and I to ensure that institutional spending is tracked so we can hold everyone accountable to their goals. Thanks to Board member Chris Querns of BOFA for his support during the grant-making process! And thanks to Board member Paul Markowich of Firstrust for connecting us to Melina!

This issue of FrontPAGE is dedicated to providing a recap of our annual PAGE Summit "Acknowledging Impact, Ensuring Accountability and Identifying Opportunity," held on February 1st. Thank you to our anchor partners and the over 160 participants who joined us for this meeting to discuss barriers and opportunities to diversifying institutional supply chains. Thank you also to Mayor Jim F. Kenney, who announced our Accountability Framework, and Councilmembers Mark Squilla, Jamie Gauthier, and Isaiah Thomas, who supported the challenge of $75 million in net new spend with local diverse firms in 2022. A huge thank you also goes out to our sponsors, Gilbane Building Company, Turner Construction, Intech, L.F. Driscoll, Skanska, and incredible panelists, Patricia Thomas-LaRoche, Craig Williams. Clayton Mitchell and Chuck Stefanosky! Lastly, thank you to Harold T. Epps and Maria F. Roberts, our PAGE Advisors, for their leadership and support of PAGE.

The entire 2022 PAGE Summit is available for viewing HERE on the Economy League's YouTube channel.

Enjoy!
