THE WELL CITY CHALLENGE
The Well City Challenge is a social impact challenge to engage and support everyday innovators with new creative ideas for addressing Philadelphia’s millennial health and mental health challenges.
The Pivot is a web series from the Economy League’s Impact Labs highlighting innovative organizational pivots happening across the Greater Philadelphia region in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are collectively experiencing rapid changes in the way we function as a society. Fear of contracting the coronavirus has led to social distancing, causing dismay in every aspect of life. As a result, our economy is unstable and unpredictable. But there is hope.
Businesses, institutions, and nonprofits alike are learning how to forgo long-term planning, increase their risk tolerance, and adapt quickly to a constantly evolving scenario. Right now, there is no handbook or best practices on how to do this, so we must be creative and collaborative. And it is no surprise that Philadelphians are rising to the occasion, being swift, agile, and savvy. Hear from diverse leaders about how they are embracing these changes, giving life support to their bottom lines, and pivoting to embrace the new normal.
THE FULL CITY CHALLENGE
A joint initiative of the Economy League and Billy Penn, the Full City Challenge is a rapid incubator focused on identifying and supporting new collaborations that leverage our region’s robust food economy to address the acute problems of hunger and poverty in the Philadelphia region.
