The Job Opportunity Investment Network (JOIN) is a funders collaborative focused on increasing the number of Greater Philadelphia workers earning family-sustaining wages. To realize this vision, JOIN invests in industry-led partnerships that simultaneously address the skill needs of low-income, low-skilled workers and the talent needs of regional businesses.

These innovative partnerships help training, education and social service providers move lower-skilled residents out of poverty and into long-term careers while addressing local employers’ talent gaps and human capital challenges. The partnerships also support regional jobseekers and workers by providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to compete in our 21st century economy. JOIN currently supports industry-led partnerships in healthcare, transportation and logistics, higher education, and advanced manufacturing.

JOIN is now partnering with the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia on a three-year project to map career pathways in two additional sectors and will ultimately support these pathways with training dollars. The Economy League is a 105-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to making Greater Philadelphia a globally competitive region by sparking new ideas, developing strategies, and galvanizing action.
