    This new Economy League report details three priority areas central to the next phase of its World Class Greater Philadelphia initiative -- Business Growth, Education and Talent Development, and Infrastructure. Also featured are case studies of regional improvement efforts from across the US.

    The priorities emerged from meetings with more than 1,000 leaders from across the region to collectively identify the issues most important to the region's future.

    Announced at the World Class Summit on February 2, the Economy League will partner with the CEO Council for Growth on boosting business growth, with the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania on improving education and talent development outcomes, and with the Urban Land Institute Philadelphia to make our infrastructure more effective and reliable.

    (June 13, 2011 – Philadelphia, PA) The Economy League, aided by local actors Charlotte Ford and Ben, will hold an encore presentation of “2026: Future Histories of Greater Philadelphia” tonight at WHYY’s Hamilton Media Commons. First presented last April to a capacity audience, the four scenarios were developed by the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia and Decision Strategies International. They are based on more than a year’s research to consider the possible results of forces and trends at work in the region, nation, and globe. A report detailing the futures is published online at www.WorldClassGreaterPhila.org.
