Investing in Transportation: A Benchmarking Study of Transportation Funding and Policy

In many ways, transportation is the lifeblood of the economy and an important component of quality of life. However, Pennsylvania’s transportation systems are in poor condition, both physically and financially.

 

In this benchmarking study, the Economy League examines other states’ transportation infrastructure, physical conditions and performance, and transportation funding mechanisms and compares and contrasts these indicators with Pennsylvania. Ultimately, the goal of this report is to identify innovative policy options for revenue generation and funding allocation.
