View From the Summit

Wow - what an evening.

A standing-room crowd of more than 300 regional leaders was on hand at WHYY last night for this year’s World Class Summit. They came to learn what’s in the new World Class Global Positioning Strategies (GPSes) for education & talent development and for business growth and to hear about early collaborations and campaigns aligned with the emerging World Class agenda. Check out Mike Armstrong’s coverage in today’s Inquirer.

Much more to come in the days ahead as we build on the energy and sense of shared purpose on display at yesterday’s Summit. We’ll have a full Summit recap in next week’s Regional Direction, as well as an in-depth look at the StartupPHLPHL messaging, and kindergarten readiness assessment efforts featured during last night’s panel. Also, be sure to check out the Economy League Facebook page as we add photos from the event.

Thanks to all who made the 2013 World Class Summit such a success. We’re looking forward to an even bigger and better gathering next year for another look at how our region’s leaders are coming together around shared strategies for regional growth and opportunity.
