Setting the new president's agenda for change: What hope means to the Delaware Valley

David Madden: It'll take more than a second stimulus pacakge to rescue this economy, according to Steven Wray, executive director of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia. He suggests Mr. Obama look not just toward reparing existing infrastructure, but perhaps modernize it, along with a new energy policy and a renewed commitment to education.

Steve Wray: We have to be thinking about where we're going to be in ten years and in fiften years today, because it's going to take us awhile to dig out of what we're in right now.

Madden: That said, Wray believes the president-elect can deliver on most of his agenda.

Wray: There'll be some pushback. But there's a real opportunity to build a coalition of liberals and conservatives on common sense, practical investments in America's future.

Madden: Assuming Mr. Obama can in fact get everyone to work together.
