October 20 - 21, 2011
On October 21, more than 150 regional leaders focused their intellects and experience on "The Theory and Practice of Making Difficult Change Happen in Complex Organizations and Regions" at the 5th Leadership Exchange. The Leadership Exchange brings leaders of business, civic, and government organizations together to make Greater Philadelphia a world class region by building connections across sectors, enhancing understanding of this region's challenges, and exploring best practices employed in other parts of the country and the world. The program opened with Douglas R. Conant, former CEO of Campbell Soup, who spoke about "Leading Change in the 21st Century: The 10 Keys to Creating a High Performance Workplace in a Rapidly Changing World."
To close, Carmen Medina, Deloitte Special Leader and former Director of the CIA's Center for the Study of Intelligence, presented the provocative talk, "Sensemaking and Change: A Heretic's Perspective on Personal, Organizational, and Global Change."
