What is the Leadership Exchange?
The Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange is an initiative of the Economy League to develop leaders of business, civic, and government organizations into visionaries dedicated to making Greater Philadelphia a world class region. Through in-region programming and out-of-region learning visits, the Leadership Exchange provides a unique opportunity for participants to build connections with top business, civic, and governmental leaders and to develop a deeper understanding of the Philadelphia region. Since the inception of the Leadership Exchange in 2005, the program has had a strong track record of exposing participants to new insights and ideas, forging connections across sectors and industries, and strengthening a community of leaders who are shaping the region’s future.
The Economy League is excited to announce we’ll be taking regional leaders to Seattle for the 2018 GPLEX learning visit. Known for embracing new ideas, mind-boggling growth, and distinct political character, Seattle provides a fascinating case study of how things get done in other regions. Participants will hear from Seattle’s top business and civic leaders and get a first-hand look at some of the most exciting and innovative developments in the region. We’ll dive into a wide range of issues including regional economic development, homelessness, transportation, growth management, housing affordability, arts and culture, and more.
